Sydney Sweeney is back on the big screen, but her latest outing has not gone the way many expected. Eden, directed by Ron Howard, features her alongside Ana de Armas, Jude Law, Vanessa Kirby, and Daniel Brühl, yet the movie has turned into one of the year’s most disappointing box office stories.

The film, which has a reported budget of $55 million, has made less than $2 million worldwide, struggling badly in both international and domestic markets.

Eden’s Box Office Struggles Highlight Limited Appeal

The movie premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival before opening in select European countries, followed by a limited US release a few weeks ago. Since then, it has managed only $1.5 million domestically, despite the star-studded cast. On its third Sunday in theaters, Eden earned less than $500 in total, with a per-theater average of $33. The weekend box office brought in barely over $2,000, and the film is now down to screenings at just 15 theaters across the country, per Box Office Mojo.
