Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chennai Express is emerging quite a winner at the box office already. The film in its opening weekend itself made an overwhelming income as it joined the distinguished 100 crore club. The film’s total collections now stands at 100.35 crores.
The film with its opening weekend collections (that includes its paid preview numbers as well) made quite a remarkable entry into the club as its swiftly claimed the numero uno position by toppling Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani‘s opening weekend earning of 62.11 crores at the box office.
Interestingly, Deepika Padukone helms Top 3 Films, with YJHD, Race 2 succeeding Chennai Express in the list!
Also with that Aashiqui 2 stands evicted from Koimoi’s list of top 10 weekend film. Aashiqui 2 made 20 crores in its opening weekend, and began to soar only after the strongly positive word of the mouth spread.
