Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra starrer Brothers managed to have a great start and continued to shine over the first week. The film collected 72.6 crores at the domestic box office and became the second biggest first week earner after Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
During the weekdays, the film collected as follows – Monday – 6.23cr, Tuesday – 5.11cr, Wednesday -4.88cr, Thursday -4.30cr.
The movie that saw Akshay do mixed martial arts along with Sidharth Malhotra opened to super audience word of mouth as all territories fired. Brothers has been directed by Karan Malhotra and also stars Jacqueline Fernandez. It has now beaten the collections of Drishyam and is now the 8th highest grosser of the year.
