Box Office: With Veere Di Wedding, Race 3 & Sanju, Will June Be The Biggest Month Of 2018?

The year so far has been extremely promising as the industry so far, saw the release of successful films like Padmaavat, PadMan, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Raid, Hichki and Baaghi 2. But as they say, the best is yet to come. The month of June is expected to be the best month of the year as far as film business is concerned as the industry expects the Bollywood films releasing in the month to churn out a total business of approximately Rs 600 crore.

That apart, June will also see the release of a big budget Hollywood film, Jurassic World 2, and the film is expected to set the Indian Box-Office on fire. The first instalment of the franchise raked in approximately Rs 100 crore in India, and the second part is expected to fare the same, if not better. All in all, the total expectations from the month of June is around Rs 700 crore.

With two of the biggest films of the year i.e. Race 3 and Sanju releasing in a span of merely 14 days, it goes without saying that June is indeed the most exciting month of the year. That apart, a medium budget film Veere Di Wedding starring Kareena Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor in lead is also expected to be a reasonably successful film.

While Race 3 is the big Eid 2018 release starring Salman Khan in lead, Sanju will mark the teaming up of Ranbir Kapoor with Rajkumar Hirani for the first time in his career. Apart from June, another exciting month for the industry is December, however only time shall say if 2018 ends with a bang for Bollywood.
