Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma’s Bombay Velvet fared quite poorly at the Box Office. The film wasn’t expected to open massively but a first day collection in the range of 9 to 10 crores was expected. However, the film could make an earning of merely 5.20 crores on its 1st Friday i.e. Day 1 at the Domestic Box Office.

Come Day 2, and the figures showed a similar fate. Bombay Velvet, as per early estimates, could rake in almost the same as first day,  5.25 crores on its 1st Saturday as per early estimates, taking its 2 days total to 10.45 crores nett.

The film hardly picked up on Day 2, since the word of mouth is not very positive. Saturday’s morning occupancy was lower than Friday. It showed a small sign of growth in the evening and night shows. But that didn’t help much for the film’s Day 2 business.
