Evoking a good start, the film has incurred interest for being based on the life of athlete Milkha Singh. The film opened to a great start at the domestic box office, whereas even overseas it fared well in pockets! The movie collected approx $ 1.4 million i.e. Rs 8.40 crores at the Overseas Box Office.
In its U.K and Ireland circuit, the film made an opening weekend collections of 80.62 lacs. The film performed better in U.S.A and Canada by earning 3.88 crores in its first three days!
In U.A.E and G.C.C belt the film made a total income of 2.53 crores in its opening weekend.
Though the movie did not release in New Zealand, in Australia the film made 71.11 lacs opening weekend business. The film released in Fiji too, and earned 1.07 lacs.
Since biopics are a greater flavor of Indian life, they have a higher chance of faring well. And since the personality associated with this film is a man of international repute, there is a chance that Bhaag Milkha Bhaag‘s income will soar in the days to come in the global markets!
