The latest is that DP is all ready to plan for their first child, and is in fact looking forward to motherhood.

The couple who got hitched last year in December in a private ceremony at Lake Como, Italy, are currently busy shooting for their first project after marriage, which is Kabir Khan’s directorial ’83 based on the 1983 World Cup. However, if reports are to be believed, DP soon after wrapping up for Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak was willing to take a break and start her journey to become mother. “In fact, she wanted to take a break for motherhood after Chhapaak. But Ranveer was very keen that Deepika plays his wife in ‘83,” the source close to Deccan Chronicle has revealed.
Moreover, if reports are to be believed, this is the prime reason that the actress is turning down all the big roles landing in her kitty, similar to the time when she took a sabbatical months before her marriage. “When she took that break after Padmaavat, she was being offered the best of films and remuneration unheard of for a female lead in Bollywood. Now, after marriage, she is ready to take another break when the world is at her feet,” the source further revealed.
