Yesterday came a huge surprise for ‘Saifeena’ fans. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan announced that they were expecting a second baby. They’re currently blessed with Taimur (3). Saif also shares 2 children with ex-wife Amrita Singh – Sara (25), Ibrahim (19).
But do you know Saif wasn’t very keen on having kids around him all the time? The Sacred Games actor had himself confessed to it. During Veere Di Wedding, Kareena had taken Taimur along with her as she flew to Delhi. In a rare confession, Khan totally enjoyed that time.
Saif Ali Khan has not shied away from accepting that he needs some space to ‘breathe.’ In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Saif said he was ‘very happy’ when Kareena Kapoor Khan took Taimur to Delhi along with her.
Saif Ali Khan said, “During the first schedule of Veere Di Wedding, she took Taimur to Delhi and I was very happy to be alone at home [laughs]. I loved being by myself but after a couple of days, I missed having them around. But I am not very finicky as a parent.”
He continued, “Taimur is a part of my life and this is for the long haul. I like my space and I like having them around also. We are lucky we have help and we have distraction also because I do think that sometimes having a child can be overwhelming if you don’t have breathing space. Some people have a lower tolerance for claustrophobia and I am one of them. I won’t be happy if I have to be around them all the time.”
Well, looks like a lot has changed over time. Saif is all set for his 4th baby and we wish him and Kareena Kapoor Khan all the happiness in the world!
