While yesterday, Mid-Day published an unexpected news that the music rights of Udta Punjab has been sold at a record breaking price of 18 crores to T-Series, thus surpassing the amount earlier paid to acquire the music rights of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, here’s a twist in the tale!
Rubbishing the reports completely, President Films-T- Series, revealed that Udta Punjab music is not with the company.
Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was sold with the highest amount of 17 crores. The music rights of the film have been, reportedly, sold for around 25% of the quoted price.
Udta Punjab, which is directed by Abhishek Chaubey stars Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Diljit Dosanjh in key roles.
The film is set to hit the screens on 17th June 2016.
