Shahid & Kareena Kapoor Let Bygones Be Bygones In ‘Style’! Literally?

The Fida couple were very committed and quite open about their relationship, which took Bollywood by surprise. In the film industry, relationships till date are ridiculously kept under wraps. The turning point came in 2007, a year when both were rumoured to have veered away from each other. While Kareena stayed upset over a leaked MMS of she kissing Shahid, Shahid’s career was going through a lull.

As reports of the couple getting close to a split began doing rounds, Kareena & Shahid announced their break up a few months before the release of the super hit Jab We Met. Ironically, this film was their biggest success together. By now, Kareena had moved on and was dating Saif Ali Khan. Shahid was linked to his ‘Kismat Konnection‘ co star Vidya Balan. Shahid was also dating Priyanka Chopra, but the couple never admitted to the relationship publicly.

However, in 2014, it was evident that Shahid & Kareena were no longer bitter about their shared past. Kareena surprised Shahid onstage by saying ‘Hi’ and complimenting him on his hosting. Baffled, Shahid actually asked his co host Farhan, ‘Did she actually say Hi to me?!’ Insiders say that Saif Ali Khan had encouraged his begum to be cordial with her ex. The two actors also partied together in Kolkata after the IPL Opening ceremony this year.

Ever since, Saif-Kareena & Shahid Kapoor have become professional colleagues with mutual respect for each other in more ways than one. Shahid & Saif will be working together in Vishal Bhardwaj’s period love story ‘Rangoon’. Shahid recommended Kareena for the part of a doctor in his forthcoming ‘Udta Punjab’ and the actress accepted it immediately. With Saif receiving the first invitation, and Kareena openly saying she would definitely attend if invited to her ex’s wedding, clearly this is one couple which has let bygones be bygones in style!
