Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s Media Wars
Though it is not official, when the timing of a press conference on Monday (2 April 2012) featuring Salman Khan was changed, the media pointed fingers at the Dabangg actor for changing the schedule so that his press-con clashed with another one by archrival Shah Rukh Khan, which was happening around the same time.
Anecdotal evidence does suggest that this is indeed not happening for the first time – Bollywood A-listers and even rival producers are known to change and modify the timings of their events and announcements in order to clash with their competitor’s. Of course, the only losers in this senseless tug of war are poor media persons who have to lug themselves and their equipment around Mumbai and then, sometimes, wait for endless hours for the star to turn up!
To be sure, Salman and Shah Rukh were almost in time for their events on Monday. Did the fact that their events coincided have anything to do with this? Well, your guess is as good as ours…

All Eyes On IPL 5 Opening
While Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Katy Perry, Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhudheva and others were already confirmed to perform at the opening ceremony of IPL 5, the inclusion of Kareena Kapoor’s name has caused a lot of excitement. Kareena not only is the only actress to have three films cross the Rs. 100 crore mark at the box-office, she is also among the top contenders for the top Bollywood actress tag.
What’s more, even the IPL opening ceremony organizers realize this. Hence, they are leaving no stone unturned to make sure that Kareena is there is time to rehearse her act, which is supposed to be one of the highlights of the starry opening extravaganza. Reports suggest that Kareena Kapoor has been provided with a chartered flight from Bangkok (where she is shooting for an ad campaign) to Chennai so that she can arrive in time for the practice sessions before the performance.
What will the Chammak Challo’s performance be like? Well, it’s a wait and watch till 3 April evening.
Bizarre Story Of The Day: John’s Forearms Don’t Fit
We all know that John Abraham has humungous forearms, something that he cultivated for his action flick, Force, last year. But it seems that it is becoming mighty difficult for the actor to lose some of the muscle gained in his biceps and triceps.
So when John’s arms could not be accommodated by the poor little kurta sleeves, they had to be torn off (cue: laughter).
It’s time John did something about those forearms, don’t you think?
