Mithun Chakraborthy in Subhash Ghai’s ‘Kaanchi’

Filmmaker Subhash Ghai has signed actor Mithun Chakraborthy to play a stellar role in his directorial venture Kaanchi. The film is slated to go on floors in January 13 next year with new star cast and Rishi Kapoor in a villainous turn.

“Mithun is one of the most talented actors of Indian Cinema but he has never played a character like in Kaanchi. The way it has been conceived is extraordinary and he will enhance that. We can share details of this character only before the release and not now,” said Subhash Ghai.

With the music being composed by Ismail Durbar and Salim-Suleman and lyrics by Irshad Kamil, Kaanchi is set to release in August, 2013.
