Katrina Kaif & Ali Abbas Zafar’s Superhero Film Taken Over By Netflix & To Now Be A Franchise?

The news of Katrina Kaif and Bharat director Ali Abbas Zafar collaborating yet again for a superhero film, was known to all. If the recent update is to go by, the project that was been produced by Ronnie Screwvala has now been acquired by the streaming giant Netflix and will be made in two parts.

A few months back, the news of Katrina Kaif stepping in a superhero film made quite a buzz. It was reported that Ali Abbas Zafar is aiming to make it a franchise. According to the recent reports, the filmmaker is done with the scripting and wishes to go on floors soon. In the meanwhile, now the film is being backed by Netflix and Ali’s wish to make a franchise has also been fulfilled.

As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, a source close to the development said, “Yes, Netflix has acquired the film, and it will now be developed as a Netflix Movie. Earlier Ronnie Screwvala was producing the film under his banner, but with the Covid-19 lock down playing havoc, the OTT platform has now taken over.”
