John Abraham is all geared up for his upcoming film Batla House in which he is portraying the role of DCP Sanjeev Kumar. The film is based on the true story of the 2008 Batla House encounter. It is helmed by Nikkhil Advani and also stars Mrunal Thakur in the lead role.
In an interview with Indian Express, the Dhoom actor was asked what are his thoughts on how so many Bollywood films nowadays are based on real-life incidents. John said, “With films like Article 15, Super 30 and Uri: The Surgical Strike, we are telling good stories now.”

He believes that Batla House is also one of the exceptional stories that are being told. John Abraham added that he doesn’t think making films on real stories is a trend. The actor said, “I think we must do what we believe in doing. If you want to make a film on a real-life character’s story or an incident, you make it. You want to tell a fictitious story, you make it. Everything is working today.”
Batla House is all set to release on August 15. It is clashing with Mission Mangal starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, Sonakshi Sinha and Sharman Joshi.
