If one has to name the country’s most promising filmmakers, Farhan Akhtar will head the list. The actor-singer-filmmaker shot to fame after making his debut with Dil Chahta Hai and is still remembered for the endearing film. Reports has it that the filmmaker in Farhan needs to be jolted up, as the actor has been invited to take a master class at the London Indian Film Festival. The event which is being organized by the British Film Institute is the biggest independent film festival of Europe and will have Farhan appearing in their ‘In Conversation’ segment.
The festival will begin on the 10th of July and will last for a week. Though Farhan has already allotted those dates for sister Zoya Akhtar’s film Dil Dhadakne Do, he will need to take some time off from shoot to attend this. Farhan is expected to fly down to London on the 16th and return back on the 18th, specifically to attend the Festival’s closing event which is on 17th.
Since Farhan is a multi talented individual, the contours of Farhan’s class has not been defined. It is expected to be more impromptu and Akhtar will be discussing everything from acting to direction to singing and writing. Farhan’s spokesperson confirmed the news when approached. Here’s Koimoi wishing Farhan our heartiest congratulations on the same.
