Filmmaker Aditya Dhar planned to celebrate Ranveer Singh’s birthday this year with a jaw-dropping surprise involving their upcoming collaboration, Dhurandhar, before things took a turn. The director secretly prepared to unveil a special unit of the highly anticipated film as a surprise for the leading man on his birthday.
However, word got out, and Ranveer learned of Aditya’s plans. The actor then checked with Aditya to verify the news. While the director initially attempted to dodge the question, he ended up admitting the plan after being relentlessly pursued by Ranveer. However, he also asked the Bajirao Mastani star to trust him and requested that he patiently wait for the official first look unveiling of the movie.
Inside sources revealed that Aditya Dhar was highly excited to surprise Ranveer Singh with the first look on his birthday and went to great lengths to keep it a secret. Although Ranveer has already seen the early rushes, the final, electrifying first look unit of Dhurandhar, slated to drop on his birthday, has been kept under complete wraps.

The actor-director duo had long conversations, and Ranveer has asked Aditya umpteenth questions in anticipation, which the latter patiently answered. “Ranveer knows something special is coming, a true cinematic treat, but he hasn’t seen the final cut,” an insider shared, hinting at the delightful anticipation. “It’s entirely Aditya’s ingenious way of making this birthday not just memorable, but truly iconic for his superstar.”
Dhurandhar is an action-thriller based on a true story about Indian espionage history, highlighting the operations of RAW. Ranveer Singh leads the movie as a RAW officer involved in a rescue mission. The movie features a star-studded cast ensemble, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, and Arjun Rampal.
