Gali Gali Chor Hai is about a common man, Bharat, played by Akshaye Khanna, and his fight against corruption. A special screening of the film was recently held for social crusader Anna Hazare along with scores of villagers in his village, Ralegan Siddhi in Maharashtara.

Akshaye Khanna: Akshaye Khanna was last seen in 2010 in Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan. In the same year, he had starred along with Sanjay Dutt and Anil Kapoor in Anees Bazmee’s No Problem. Khanna’s last hit was Abbas-Mustan’s thriller Race (2008). His negative role in the film was widely appreciated.
Shriya Saran: Shriya Saran is a well-known star in the Tamil film industry and occasionally acts in Hindi films. Her last Hindi film was Ek: The Power Of One (2009), where she was paired opposite Bobby Deol. The action film failed at the box-office. In Gali Gali Chor Hai, Shriya plays the role of Nisha, a school teacher and Akshaye Khanna’s wife.
Director
Gali Gali Chor Hai is directed by Rumi Jaffery, who had directed the Salman Khan-starrer God Tussi Great Ho (2008) and the Govinda starrer Life Partner (2009). Rumi has written the screenplay and dialogues for several hit films also.
Music Director
The music of the film is composed by Anu Malik. His music in Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011) was liked by all. Anu Malik ruled the 1990’s with several chartbusters. His scores for Border, Judwaa and Baazigar are memorable.

Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is a romantic film about Rahul Kapoor (Imran Khan), who has recently lost his job and who marries a hair stylist Riana (Kareena Kappor).

Imran Khan: Imran Khan was seen in his uncle Aamir Khan’s Delhi Belly in 2011. The film was widely appreciated among the youth and did well at the box-office. Later, in 2011, he starred in Yash Raj Films’ Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, along with Katrina Kaif and Ali Zafar; this film was a box-office hit as well.
Kareena Kapoor: Kareena can be called as the most successful and reliable actress of 2011. Both her films, Bodyguard and Ra.One, made more than Rs.100 crore at the box-office. Bebo has already worked with Aamir Khan in 3 Idiots, and will be seen for the first time opposite Imran Khan in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu.

Debut-making director Shakun Batra is helming Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu under the banner of Dharma Productions. The banner’s recent release, Agneepath, has done very well at the box-office and so expectations from Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu have increased.
Music Director
The music of Ekk Main Aur Ekk Tu has been composed by Amit Trivedi. Amit rose to fame after Dev D (2009); the film fetched him the prestigious National Award. His recent work includes Chillar Party, Udaan and No One Killed Jessica.

Ekk Deewana Tha is a love story about Sachin (Prateik) and Jessie (Amy Jackson). Sachin is a an engineering graduate and dreams of becoming an actor in Bollywood.

Prateik: Prateik’s last release was My Friend Pinto (2011) failed to do well at the box-office. His other releases of 2011 include Dum Maaro Dum and Aarakshan, both of which didn’t perform well at the windows. Prateik’s performance in Aamir Khan’s Dhobi Ghat was critically appreciated.
Amy Jackson: Amy, a British model, has worked in a Tamil Film Madrasapattinam (2010). She is making her Bollywood debut with Ekk Deewana Tha.
Director
The film is produced and directed by acclaimed Tamil filmmaker Gautham Menon. Ekk Deewana Tha is his first Hindi film, a remake of his own Tamil film, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa.
Music Composer
The music of Ekk Deewana Tha has been composed by A. R. Rahman, an Oscar award-winning music director, who is globally appreciated for his compositions.

Star Cast
R. Madhavan: Madhavan was last seen opposite Kangana Ranaut in Tanu Weds Manu (2011). After a slow start the film picked up phenomenally and ultimately did great business at the box-office. Maddy’s performance in the film was widely appreciated. Tanu Weds Manu was Madhavan’s first solo success in Bollywood. He was earlier seen in Raju Hirani’s all-time blockbuster, 3 Idiots (2009), along with Aamir Khan and Sharman Joshi.
Bipasha Basu: Bips desperately needs a hit as her last couple of releases have failed at the box-office. Her recent release was Abbas-Mustan’s thriller Players (2012), which bombed. Basu’s only release of 2011, Dum Maaro Dum, also was a flop. Both these films starred Abhishek Bachchan along with Bipasha Basu.
Director
Ashwini Chaudhary has directed a few films before but has not tasted success yet. His Good Boy Bad Boy (2007), starring Emraan Hashmi and Tushhar was a flop. His other films include Siskiyaan (2005) and Dhoop (2003).
Music Director
The music of the film has been composed by Salim-Sulaiman. The music composer duo has earlier composed music for films like Band Baaja Baaraat (2010), Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl (2011) and Love Breakups Zindagi (2011).

The film stars real life couple Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza who have recently announced that they will tie the knot soon.
Ritesh Deshmukh: Ritesh’s 2011 releases were multi-starrer films, Double Dhamaal and F.A.L.T.U. Both films did moderate business at the box-office. Ritesh has been part of some multi-starrer hits like Heyy Babyy (2007) and Housefull (2010), but has not given a solo hit in recent years.
Genelia D’Souza:
Her only release in 2011 was Force in she was paired opposite John Abraham. The film did good business at the box-office but she had little to do in the film.
