According to reports in The Times Of India, if Kangana Ranaut can prove that the civic body’s demolition drive at her Bandra office was illegal, then the BMC might fall in trouble.
Reports doing the rounds claim that the BMC may have to redo demolished portions of the actress’ office if her documents prove that space was authorised.
Kangana has always maintained that there is no illegal construction in her house. While BMC on the other hand in their notice claimed that they were only breaking down illegal alterations.
Besides the breaking down of the office interiors, the actress also claimed that damages were caused to her belongings. “My office was suddenly declared illegal in the last 24 hours, they have destroyed everything inside including furniture and lights,” the Queen actress said in her tweets.
On Wednesday, the BMC faced flak after demolishing portions of Kangana Ranaut’s Bandra office, with some critics saying she was targeted while other defaulters were spared.
The Bombay High Court, however, has put a stay order on any further demolition to the actress’ office. However, reports claim that over 80% of the work was done by the time Ranaut’s legal team got a stay order for the same.
