Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Freida Pinto, Sonam Kapoor, Karan Johar, Rani Mukerji and Saif Ali Khan are attending the current Cannes Film Festival as brand ambassadors for various festival sponsors. The I & B and Tourism ministries are hosting, through NFDC, the India Pavilion which is releasing information about companies and delegates in Cannes from India and guidelines on filming in India. NFDC is also promoting six directors – Dibakar Banerjee, Anurag Kashyap, Laxmikant Shetgaonkar, Haobam Paban Kumar, Shekhar Kammula and Anusha Rizvi. UTV unveiled the first look of Madhur Bhandarkar’s Heroine at the film festival. The film stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
