The shooting of Fitoor is going to get tougher for the team after the massive Kashmir floods. The film that was already delayed once before is all set to be delayed again, suggest industry insiders. But a source close to the production house maintained that the film’s first schedule featuring Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif along with Rekha will begin by October end itself.
Talking about the film, lead actor Aditya Roy Kapur told Koimoi, “I won’t give too much away about my character. I have been doing a bit of work on my character in Fitoor. The thing that strikes about Gattu (Abhishek Kapoor) is that he is completely passionate. He won’t settle for anything less than what he thinks is the best. He is completely immersed in Fitoor. Film is afterall a director’s medium and they are the captain of the ship. Gattu is everything that an actor would ever want from his director. He gives me the feeling that he is really geared up for the film. What he has done with the script is something very beautiful and I am very excited about it. It will be an intense ride.”
He is getting to be on screen with two of the industry’s hottest ladies Rekha and Katrina Kaif. Continuing about it Aditya added, “Working with Rekhaji will be amazing! Of course Fitoor is going to be a huge film for me. And all the losing weight is primarily because I have two sexy ladies with me in Fitoor. (Wink) But on a serious note, since I began my career working with the biggest actors, I have learnt to separate star from an actor very early.”
Fitoor is an adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations where Aditya will play the central character Pip rechristened Noor in the film who is playing a Kashmiri painter in the film and Katrina Kaif will play the role of Firdaus, close to Estelle’s character from the novel.
