Abhishek Bachchan & Aishwarya Rai – Four Years & More

Let’s take a look at the movies they did together over the years –

While Aishwarya Rai began her career a few years before Abhishek Bachchan, the two first came together in Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke (2000). While the film didn’t do well, the chemistry between them wasn’t much to talk about either.

It was in the 2003 film Kuch Naa Kaho that Ash and Abhishek seemed like they had hit it off. While Ash played a single mother doting on her son in the film, Abhi was always on the sidelines for his lady love.

In 2005 came the sizzler Bunty Aur Babli with both Bachchans – Amitabh and Abhishek – falling for the charms of the fabulous Ash in the song Kajrare. And boy did it get our pulse racing!

Ash looked absolutely marvellous as the doe-eyed courtesan in Umrao Jaan (2006) who found much more than an admirer in Abhishek Bachchan.

Skimpy clothes and a bronzed look: Ash was at the peak of her beauty in Dhoom 2 (2006) as was Abhishek as the tough cop. Too bad they weren’t paired together in the movie.

Finally in 2007, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were cast opposite each other in Mani Ratnam’s Guru. Ash and Abhi complemented each other as the doting wife and relentless businessman respectively. No doubts that there were sparks between the two during the filming of the movie as they went on to marry three months later.

Sarkar Raj (2008) was the married couple’s first film together. It not only brought Abhi and Ash together once again, there was also pa-in-law Amitabh Bachchan in the film a la ‘Bunty Aur Babli’.

Abhishek was anything but pretty Ash’s knight in shining armour in Raavan (2010). The off-screen couple had to terrorize his wife in the film, and looking at Ash’s expressions, he sure did a fine job at that!
