Afghan Jalebi – Phantom Music Review
The song Afghan Jalebi comes in four versions in the album. The first version Ya Baba and the Film version are almost similar. At first, I did not enjoy much but after hearing the second version, the song truly impressed me with its beats. The Ya Baba version has been sung by Syed Asrar Shah and the film version by Akhtar Chanal Zahri, both of whom are Coke Studio Pakistan stars.
The third version Fitna Farebi has been sung by Nakash Aziz is just like the first two versions but not as enjoyable as the other two.
The fourth version which is called the Dumbek version is the best of the lot. With the complete middle eastern tunes and folk beats, this version is a winner. Pritam does a great job with all four versions; his choice of musical instruments is brilliant in all.
