Heartless is an autobiographical is an slice of mishap by director Shekhar Suman. This movie is inspired by an American movie Awake and stars Adhyayan Suman (the director’s younger son) and Ariana Ayam who debuts here. It is scheduled to be released on 7th February, 2014. Even with the likes of Mohit Chauhan, Heartless fails to impress listeners as far as music is concerned. A very first hearing can make one wonder if this album will at all make it till the nest month in one’s playlist even though it is not absolutely void of melody

Heartless – Heartless Music Review

This song sung by Mohit Chauhan, Aniruddh Bhola & Suzanne D’Mello is an impassionate cry of the protagonist for his beloved who fails to have valued the relationship they shared. The song is more like a mad ranting meant to specify the rage and lack of harmony in his life, though the listener would not really feel it.

Mashooqana – Heartless Music Review

Sung by Ash King & Arunima Bhattacharya this is a song that one would enjoy. This track also has an Arabic feel due to the use of lute, violin, bass drums and occasional claps in the interludes which adds to its mesmerizing quality. The gripping rhythm of the song keeps the listener stick to it till the end.

Main Dhoondne Ko Zamaane Mein – Heartless Music Review

This soulfull song by Arijit Singh is the best track of the entire lot. The soothing voice of the young singer lifts it to a level higher. The quest or search for something unattainable is felt in this song. Arijit lent his soul to the track (thinking of which Atif Aslam could have also been a choice) and ensures the listener feels the same as well.

Soniye – Heartless Music Review

Sung by K.K. the song seems like a typically ‘heard’ song, be its lyrics or the music. One will find such a track in almost every Bollywood romantic movie.

Ishq Khuda – Heartless Music Review

Sung by Khurram Iqbal, the song is good and soothing but the lyrics are again familiar with love equating to the satisfaction of having God. The singer’s efforts are appreciated.

What A Feeling – Heartless Music Review

This song is sung by Mohit Chauhan & Sukanya Ghosh is an additional track with no importance whatsoever. The chorus makes one feel hearing to a cacophonic choir. The track is the worst amongst the lot.

Thanks Brother – Heartless Music Review

Sung by ShekharSuman and Adhyayan Suman the song is sort of an epilogue to the movie thanking the deceased Aayush Suman for being there in their lives and the feeling of fraternity is well delivered through the track.

The Last Word – Heartless Music Review

The album is a heavy effort of the music director and a few new singers like Khurram Iqbal. Few tracks are good and the audience might be kind enough to like them but a couple of others are not worthy of being accepted at all from both vocal and lyrical angles. Though Shekhar made brilliant attempts to market the songs well, not leaving behind the act of bringing in a sports person, Sachin Tendulkar, for its music launch, here’s hoping the film would do justice to Aayush Suman whom it is dedicated to. Also, let us not forget the controversies over the launch where Sachin Tendulkar was roped in to fill in for Sonu Nigam.
