The 17th season of Bigg Boss is getting interesting with each passing day. The show, which was launched on October 15, recently saw its first Weekend Ka Vaar with Salman Khan. In the recent episode, a few instances grabbed headlines, which included Ankita Lokhande-Vicky Jain’s showdown, BB roasting YouTuber Anurag Dobhal, and Munawar Faruqui’s breakdown. For the unversed, the comedian had opened up about his ex-wife for the first time on Kangana Ranaut’s Lock Upp. It all came out after the Tejas actress showed him a picture of him with a woman and a kid, responding to which he had said he doesn’t want to talk about it at any platform.
During the recent episode, Munawar Faruqui was seen talking to co-contestant Neil Bhatt about his personal life. The stand-up comedian broke down and revealed that he terribly misses his son, whose custody he recently got. Munawar Faruqui shares with Neil Bhatt, “My ex-wife is married now, and I have custody of my son. He is five years old. When he came back to me six months ago after I got the custody, I realized what I was missing.”
Finally, I have him with me now. I have connected with him so much in the past 3-4 months. I’m missing him. I’m constantly thinking about what he’d be doing at the moment. Now that I’m here, all of this hits me on a very different level altogether,” Munawar Faruqui told Neil further. Watch the video below:

Reacting to the same, netizens called it a sympathy card on the show. A user wrote, “Bhai ye sab sympathy se better hai k wo kuch comedy kre, one liners mare. Lock-upp me he was a combination of a good heart and sharp mind. Big boss me sirf good heart se nhi chalega. Aur ye big boss Tak q nhi de rha insan ka asli hunar bahar kaise aayega.”
While another said, “Munawar ke paas shayri ke alawa koi game nhi hai.”
A third one wrote, “Sympathy card activated.” Fourth one said, “Sympathy maang Raha hai.”
Meanwhile, during his presence on Kangana Ranaut’s show Lock Upp, Munawar Faruqui told the actress, “I don’t want to talk about this. Not on social media, not on a platform like Lock Upp. This is not something I want to talk about. I am not hiding anything, but we have been separated for the past one and a half years. Court ki cheezein ho rahi hain (The matter is in the court) and I do not want to discuss that. It has been difficult.”
