Join UsBajirao Mastani has started showing its true might at the Box Office. If the start was good, the escalation that the Sanjay Leela Bhansali flick showed over the weekend was superb. Now what has unfolded on Monday is truly fantastic, as the film has hardly taken a fall when compared with the Friday numbers (12.8 crore). With around 10.25 crore coming in, the film has sustained exceedingly well, hence sending out a message loud and clear that it is here to stay.
First thing is to be noted is that in true terms, the fall from Friday to Monday is hardly negligible, since the ticket rates on weekdays are lower than that of the weekend. In that aspect, the difference is even narrower. Moreover, the trending also reminds one of Tanu Weds Manu Returns, another Eros film, which had almost the same numbers as Friday on Monday. With the kind of distance that the Kangna Ranaut and Madhavan starrer eventually went on to cover, one can’t even put a final number on how far would Bajirao Mastani would go from here.
While 100 crore is now a given for the Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra starrer, it is going to be really exciting times for the industry as the film has been accepted by the audience, and is now well set for a long haul.
The film’s total collection so far is around 57.02 crore.
