The media and entertainment conference, FICCI Frames, this year was kickstarted with celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Yash Chopra and Karan Johar attending the event in Bombay on March 16. The conference was also attended by Maharashtra chief minister Ashok Chavan, Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting, Ambika Soni, and James Nicholas Gianopulos, Chairman & CEO, Fox Filmed Entertainment.
A report on the industry, prepared by KPMG and released on March 16, points out that the Indian entertainment industry, which went through a rough patch in the last two years due to the economic slowdown, is poised for recovery in 2010.
