The year 2023 gave us some of the brilliant stories and performances. Interestingly, many of the performances even belonged to not such a great story, but in Koimoi Audience Poll 2023, we have tried to analyze every aspect and then honor the best of the lot, keeping aside our biases and love for a particular drama or thriller.
In our annual tradition of acknowledging the best work from the industry, we are back with the nominations for the Best Actress in web series that were released in 2023. While it was very difficult to pick the best out of the lot, we have tried our best.
In fact, the list of nominees even includes performances from shows that were not at par when compared to the best of the lot, but the performances definitely needed applause and were worth mentioning.
Here are the nominees for the Best Actress Web Series in 2023 for Koimoi Audience Poll 2023.
1. Karishma Tanna: Scoop
Karishma Tanna’s Scoop is definitely one of the strongest performances of the year. While the actress nailed it as a journalist trapped in a murder case, the Sony Liv series made her shine with a brilliant script.
2. Sonakshi Sinha: Dahaad
From playing a housewife to a Dabangg officer to being a Dabangg officer herself, Sonakshi Sinha has come a long way. Despite the Amazon Prime Video’s Dahaad faltering much, she deserves a nomination rightfully.
3. Sushmita Sen: Aarya S3
Sushmita Sen performed like a wounded tigress in Aarya Season 3. While there were hits and misses in her performance, she deserves all the accolades for bringing a freshness to her character by turning grey from being the meek one in part 1. Aarya streams on Disney Plus Hotstar.
4. Priya Bapat: City of Dreams 3 – Mahanagri
Bapat’s Poornima Gaikwad from the City of Dreams has been one of the finest political performances of the year. Streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar, this Good VS Evil plot with her at the epicenter was a winner.
