As per Jeff Sneider’s TheInSneider newsletter, Johnny Depp (60) is all set to star opposite Sydney Sweeney (26) in an upcoming supernatural thriller. The project has been titled Day Drinker. It will be directed by Marc Webb, who has previously proved his skills with (500) Days Of Summer and The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
The script will reportedly revolve around an “enigmatic stranger (Depp) and a bartender (Sweeney) mourning the loss of her lover.” American screenwriter and film producer Zach Dean of the Deadfall, The Tomorrow War, and Fast X fame will be writing the script.
Johnny Depp and Sydney Sweeney will be seen exploring “love, friendship, and revenge,” and one can only imagine their sizzling chemistry on-screen.

But a source by Discussing Films now claims that the rumors are false. A representative of Sydney Sweeney has confirmed to the publication that she is not a part of any such film. Netizens were super pumped but are now heartbroken over the latest update.
