The disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein was convicted of r*pe, harassment, and sexual assault by countless women, including some well-known Hollywood actresses. Seasoned actress Salma Hayek also opened up about it and shared her traumatic story with the world. She once revealed how Weinstein bullied her during the filming of Frida, based on the life of Frida Kahlo.

Hayek published an op-ed article in The New York Times sharing her story of being harassed by Weinstein. It gave courage to many to come out and share their story of assault. Harvey’s Miramax company co-produced Salma’s Oscar-nominated film Frida. However, the Eternals star was also a producer on the project. She once recalled being screamed at by the producer on the film’s set.

In an interview with The Guardian, Salma Hayek once shared the story. She said, “I did feel all right [when he bullied me]. OK, I would shake [afterward], and it did depress me, but there was a cartoon aspect about the whole thing.” She added, “When he would call me up [during the making of Frida] and scream, ‘Why do you have a [monobrow] and mustache? I didn’t hire you to look ugly!’ I was like, ‘But didn’t you ever look at a picture of Frida Kahlo?'”
