Deadpool & Wolverine’s first teaser has thrilled the fans. As they count the days until the film’s theatrical release, rumors claim that Kevin Feige plans to add this dynamic duo to an Avengers movie. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are not apt for these Marvel roles, but their off-screen friendship would make it even more fun to watch on-screen.
On February 11, the first teaser came out, and it became the most-viewed trailer of all time with 365 million views, surpassing Spider-Man: No Way Home’s record of 355 million views. A lot depends on this upcoming movie since the past few films did poorly at the box office. The Marvels, which came out in November last year, became the lowest-earning MCU film.
Deadpool & Wolverine’s trailer has left a positive mark on the audience. Marvel Kevin Faige sensed it and already planned to utilize the duo by featuring them in an Avengers film. According to an industry insider, Daniel Richtman, Feige is considering adding Wade Wilson and Logan to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Interestingly, the project was only called Avengers 5 due to Jonathan Majors’ firing by Disney after his guilty verdict.
Richtman claimed, “The original plan was to have them appear only in ‘AVENGERS: SECRET WARS,’ but Feige was so impressed with the ‘DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE’ film… that plan could be changing,” via ScreenTime’s X handle. The netizens have mixed reactions to the rumor; some are excited, while others want Kevin Feige to slow down.
One fan wrote in the comment section of the post, “Deadpool may actually be Marvel Jesus.”
Another suggested, “He need to slow down .. this what happens when $$$ signs cloud ya vision.”
“They need to 1000000000% make this happen. Deadpool is such a lovable character, and I have no doubt that the movie will be a massive success,” added another.
