If you’ve seen Sony’s Spider-Man universe flicks like Madame Web and Morbius, Kraven the Hunter ends pretty much how you’d expect. Aaron Taylor-Johnson starring as Sergei Kravinoff dives into the character’s backstory and his chaotic mission to save his half-brother from The Rhino.

But while Kraven’s transformation into the iconic Spider-Man villain is, well, inevitable, it feels more like a “meh” moment than a thrilling payoff. And don’t even get me started on the weird character choices that throw everything off.

What Does Kraven the Hunter’s Finale Mean?

Well, Kraven the Hunter wraps up with a moment that’s both iconic and let’s just say, a bit on the nose. After saving his big brother and Rhino-slaying rampage, a year later, Sergei opens a box and finds his father’s creepy trophy, a lion’s head turned into a vest. And bam, Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Sergei steps into Kraven’s legendary look from the comics, complete with that classic lion-head ensemble.
