Stree 2 is gearing up for a huge surprise at the box office. Starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in the leading roles, the horror comedy has scored the third-highest day 1 advance booking of 2024. It is only behind Kalki 2898 AD and Guntur Kaaram. Scroll below for more details.
The sequel of Stree (2018) has finally arrived at the ticket windows today. The paid previews were held yesterday evening, and the response was spectacular. So far, the trends suggest Amar Kaushik’s directorial will lead the race against Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa at the box office by an unimaginable margin.

As per Sacnilk, Stree 2 ended its day 1 advance booking at 23.36 crores gross (excluding blocked seats) at the Indian box office. The word-of-mouth is positive, and early reviews suggest that the sequel is even better than the original film. This means there will be massive spot bookings across the country throughout the day. A 40 crore+ opening is inevitable, and it is now time to see how far horror comedy goes from there!
In terms of admits, around 8.24 lakh tickets have been sold in pre-sales alone. If this trend continues, there’s surely a blockbuster in the making!

Shraddha Kapoor’s film has left behind many biggies, including Fighter, HanuMan, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, and Shaitaan, among others, to add staggering collections to its kitty via pre-sales. It is only behind Kalki 2898 AD, which sold 20 lakh+ tickets, and Guntur Kaaram, which registered 11.2 lakh+ admits for day 1 before hitting theatres.
