Shaitaan continued its streak of success on day 2. The horror film starring Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan in the leading roles made the most of a partial holiday due to Mahashivratri. With no competition at the box office, the film has grown further and made impressive box office collections on Saturday. Scroll below for early estimates.
As most know, Shaitaan is a remake of the Gujarati horror film Vash. The pre-release buzz was massive, and fans were excited to see Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan in the same frame. A double-digit was predicted, but the film knocked it out of the dark with its opening day collections. The earnings were close to Ajay’s last success, Drishyam 2.
Shaitaan Box Office Collection
On day 1, Shaitaan brought in box office collection of 15.21 crores. The film missed Drishyam 2’s 15.38 crores by an inch. But it did take the fifth spot on Ajay Devgn’s Top 10 opening days. The throne is conquered by Singham Returns (32 crores), followed by Golmaal Again with 30.14 crore earnings.
As per the early trends flowing in, Shaitaan has added a box office collection in the range of 17.5-18.5 crores on day 1. This is a growth of around 15-22% compared to day 1 earnings. The film has witnessed considerable growth and exceeds expectations!
The overall collection after the conclusion of day 2 will stand somewhere between 32.71-33.71 crores. Shaitaan is fast pacing toward the 50 crore club, and if the film maintains its stronghold on Sunday, that milestone will be achieved!

The opening weekend box office numbers would be a huge sigh of relief for Ajay Devgn. The actor suffered a lot of failures in the post-pandemic phase. Films like Thank God, Runway 34, and Bholaa failed to impress audiences.
