Satyagraha Beats Raanjhanaa's Lifetime Record | 2nd Week Box Office Report

Satyagraha is still continuing its income at a mild pace at the box office. The film that began on a promising note shattered apart soon as other releases began flooding in. The film was a staunch political commentary on corruption and its 2 weeks’ run at the box office has earned in the range of 64 crores in the domestic circuit.

Though the film’s budget was high given the strong star value featuring actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn in lead roles, the film lacked the commercial effervescent. Largely panned by critics, the audiences too failed it when they refused to serve as repeat audiences. The film will wrap up its earnings by the conclusion of this week as Shuddh Desi Romance and films like Grand Masti can claim to share the audiences in their respective domains!

However, the film has surpassed Raanjhanaa‘s box office collections and now stands at No. 8 position on Koimoi’s Top 10 Movies of 2013 list. Take a look at the chart below:
