For the uninitiated, this is the sequel to Ridley Scott’s 2000 blockbuster Gladiator. The story picks up several years after the events of the first film. It is the highest-grossing film in Washington’s career and registered the esteemed filmmaker’s biggest international debut. Recently, it surpassed The Godfather and The Green Mile to become one of the top 35 highest-grossing historical fiction films ever.

BoxOfficeReport.com has revealed the weekend actuals of Ridley Scott’s film, and according to that, it collected a solid $7.65 million on its 4th three-day weekend in North America. It played across 3,224 locations in the US. The historical epic saga collected $2.175 million on Friday, followed by $3.337 million on Saturday, and finally $2.142 million on Sunday. Thus, the film’s domestic cume has reached $145.79 million. The film inches closer to the $150 million mark in the US.
