It has been a while since we have witnessed a female-centric film in the theatres. There’s no denying that Bollywood has delivered some fresh ideas like Good Luck Jerry, Mimi, Bhakshak, and Darlings, among others. The effort has been made by Ekta Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, and the team with Crew, and the early signs are positive.

The advance booking trends witnessed a major jump within 24 hours of the big release. The pre-release buzz had been favorable, and Good Friday further helped it convert into footfalls.
As per the early trends flowing in, Crew brought in around 8-8.5 crores to its kitty on day 1. The film was predicted to open in the range of 7-8 crores, and there are high chances that the expectations have been surpassed.
With positive word-of-mouth, the box office collections are likely to grow during the weekend, and that shall set the pace for Crew. There are multiple other releases, such as Shaitaan, Yodha, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, and Madgaon Express. But Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon, in a heist comedy, are sure to attract audiences to the theatres.
Kapil Sharma takes a jibe at his small role
The film is based on three friends who work as cabin crew and live a peaceful life until they’re involved in a heist and want to break free. Since the movie stars as many as three actors in leading roles, other characters are bound to get short screen space.
Kapil Sharma recently shared a video from the last day of the shoot and took a funny dig at his role. He said, “Jitna role, utna chota cake (The cake is as small as his role).”

The film was directed by Rajesh Krishnan, who had previously proved his talent with TVF Tripling. Apart from Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon and Tabu, Crew also stars Diljit Dosanjh, Kapil Sharma, Rajesh Sharma and Saswata Chatterjee in pivotal roles.
