Sarbjit, after a low start, just about managed to go past Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s last release Jazbaa [21.58 crore].

The film collected 1.75 crore on Thursday and with that the total stands at 22.09 crore. The film has made profits for its producers, though distributors would have to see how footfalls come in the second week.

There are decent number of shows retained since there is no new major Hindi release. However, theatrically the film hasn’t lived up to the kind of hype that was generated around it.

Sarbjit also stars Randeep Hooda, Richa Chadha and Darshan Kumaar in key roles. The film is a biopic, directed by Omung Kumar.
