Another month has arrived, and another set of releases is scheduled for this Eid month. The biggest one, of course, is the massive Ajay Devgn VS Akshay Kumar clash at the April 2024 box office with Maidaan and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. However, if all goes well, then the two films might put up a strong show, bringing a massive 300 crore collection on Eid.
However, despite the 300 crore cumulative collection, the two Eid releases might not beat Salman Khan‘s best Eid performance of 320.24 crore by Bajrangi Bhaijaan in 2015. The film was helmed by Kabir Khan and is the biggest Eid release till date.
April 2024, the box office will witness 9 releases that include a clash we discussed and another clash between Dukaan and JNU. There will also be a triple clash between Janhvi Kapoor, Vidya Balan, and Uorfi Javed. Overall, the month might end up collecting 400+ crore at the box office.

3. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan

Expectations: 150 – 160 crore
Starcast: Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff
Director: Ali Abbas Zafar
USP: While Ali Abbas Zafar knows his craft, it has been a long time since Akshay and Tiger earned a hit tag at the box office. Their hunger for a hit and Eid release date provides a perfect opportunity for a box office explosion that might even touch 200 crore!
4. Maidaan
Release Date: April 10
Expectations: 100 – 120 crore
Starcast: Ajay Devgn, Priyamani, Gajraj Rao and others
Director: Amit Sharma
USP: Despite clashing with BMCM, Ajay Devgn has his set of audience, and when he roars, people root for him. If all goes right for the film, it might go past the expected number and reach the 150 crore mark, as Shaitaan outperformed recently.
5. Phule
Release Date: April 10, 2024
Expectations: under 5 crore
Starcast: Pratik Gandhi, Patralekhaa
Director: Anant Mahadevan
USP: Not much is known about the film, but Pratik Gandhi is the current hotcake, which is fresh out of the oven after Madgaon Express.
6. Mr & Mrs Mahi
Release Date: April 19, 2024
Expectations: 25 – 30 crore
Starcast: Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor
Director: Sharan Sharma
USP: Nothing much, apart from being a Dharma film. Since there are three films clashing, it will be a very difficult route for the film to reach even this expected number. But if it settles down and sticks to the pace, it might achieve the same.
7. Love, Sex Aur Dhokha 2
Release Date: April 19, 2024
Expectations: 35 – 40 crore
Starcast: Uorfi Javed, Mouni Roy & Others
Director: Dibakar Banerjee
USP: Everything that sells is there in the film – s*x, lust, digital danga, and more! And there is Uorfi of course!
USP: Vidya Balan is currently in the news due to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, and Pratik Gandhi has just won hearts with Madgaon Express. The effect might hang around with the film as well.
USP: Aayush Sharma has had a rocky box office journey, but he somehow survives, and he might as well with this one!
