Neo-Noir drama Udta Punjab has been in the controversy regarding its miff with censor board for weeks now. Now, the latest detail about the film says that apart from giving Adult Certification to the film, the board has suggested the makers to remove 13 scenes which are 94 cuts.

Anurag Kashyap, one of the producers of the film, expressed his anger by tweeting, “@shubhaS 9 names of cities is 9 cuts.. two words from songs are two cuts.. on the last count they were 94 cuts as per the 13 points.”

CBFC has also objected on abusive words in the film, which includes, k*tti’ (bi***), chitta ve (a slang for drugs) and har**mi (bas****). The board also wants to remove the words like election, MP, MLA and Parliament from the film.

The scenes where the lead actor (Shahid Kapoor) is shown urinating in the crowd and the close-up shots of injecting the drug are found objectionable by the Censor Board. Now, the board has said the makers to remove these scenes as well.
