A man- Anand Panda has dragged Yash Raj Films to court on charges of cheating and copyright infringement regarding the script of film Ek Tha Tiger. Anand Panda has claimed that he is the rightful owner and writer of the script of “Ek Tha Tiger”. He even moved to the high court when the police refused to file a case against the Ek Tha Tiger film-makers. Panda had filed a complaint alleging offences of criminal breach of trust, cheating and various other sections of the Copyright Act, 1957.
After Panda approached the court, the police registered an FIR on 9th September 2012. However,Yash Raj Films, the producers of the movie, were not named in the FIR. As of now the petition filed by Anand Panda has been disposed off by the High Court after directing the police to investigate the case on fair ground.
