The actor who has recently been seen in films like Lust Stories and Mission Mangal believes in roles that leave an impact rather than always eyeing for lead roles. The actor also spoke about his daughter, Shanaya’s Bollywood debut!

In his recent interview to PTI, Sanjay Kapoor has been quoted saying, “You can’t be a hero all your life. Everyone has to go through this transition phase where you have to do character roles. The idea is your role should have an impact, it should be pivotal to the story.”

Sanjay Kapoor’s daughter, Shanaya Kapoor is taking baby steps in the industry and papa Sanjay can’t contain his excitement. Shanaya has begun as an Assistant Director for Karan Johar’s Gunjan Saxena biopic featuring Janhavi Kapoor, Vikrant Massay and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles.

Speaking about Shanaya’s entry in B-town, Sanjay has revealed the one advice he has alswasy given his daughter. “She is learning the ropes. She is taking her acting, dance and diction classes. In our family, she has watched me, her uncle and cousins closely. She knows hard work matters. You can be anybody’s daughter or niece but it is going to be the dedication that will take you ahead.”

On the professional front, Sanjay Kapoor’s last outing as Vidya Balan’s husband in Mission Mangal has won him appreciation from every corner.
