Yesteryears lover-boy and Bollywood superstar Shammi Kapoor is back with a bang. Well, not on the silver screen, but on the internet. The 79-year-old actor, who hails from the biggest of star families in Bollywood, the Kapoors, and delivered memorable hits like Tumsa Nahin Dekha, Dil Deke Dekho, Junglee and Kashmir Ki Kali, will take a walk down memory lane in a series of short 2-3 minute web episodes titled ‘Shammi Kapoor Unplugged’.
The legendary Shammi Kapoor will relive the beautiful memories of a super successful career that spanned over five decades and a life lived to the fullest – straight from the heart. At an event announcing the launch on May 18 in Bombay, Shammi Kapoor said, “What you won’t find in there is any private tales of my link-ups with any of my heroines.” During his heyday, the actor was linked to various co-stars, before he finally married Geeta Bali.

Recounting his tryst with the Internet, Shammi Kapoor said “I have always believed in keeping myself abreast with technology and this project has allowed me to share my experiences, both personal and professional, with my fans across the world through the world wide web.”
The actor, who undergoes dialysis thrice a week, but still maintains a cheerful outlook towards life, said, “The show has received an overwhelming response from my fans and I am very grateful to them for their love and affection. It keeps me going.”
