With two hits in one year, it’s no wonder that Salman Khan tops the popularity charts of 2011! According to Ormax Media’s consumer based year-end report – Front Page 2011, Salman Khan was the favourite star of Indian audiences in 2011. Shah Rukh Khan came in close at second place while Singham Ajay Devgan had a whooping 36% increase in his popularity from 2010.
Among the female stars, it wasn’t any surprise that Katrina Kaif took the lead with Aishwarya Rai and Kareena Kapoor trailing behind.

While Salman may have topped when it comes to star popularity, it was Ajay’s Singham that roared its way to the number one position on the list of top 10 favourite Bollywood films of 2011. The list, derived on the basis of ‘Word of Mouth’ (WOM), represents the percentage of audiences who liked the film enough to recommend it strongly to their friends.
While big films like Rockstar, Ready, Bodyguard and Don 2 were definitely in the picture, ones like No One Killed Jessica and Delhi Belly also made it to the list.
