Actress Rhea Chakraborty was reportedly molested outside her building premises about which she filed a complaint with the Khar police station on Tuesday itself. The actress got into an argument with a man, reported a leading daily, following which he tried to grope her and molest her.
The actress tweeted about the unfortunate incident. She said on the micro-blogging site, “Mumbai is so unsafe, it’s scary to another level.. I am absolutely frustrated with the men in this country .. Here this out, it’s ridiculous.”
She divulged further details saying, “I just got groped by a very well dressed man who casually walks into my building in broad daylight,with 2 watchmen chilling in the building. Can a girl not walk in to her own building at 5 pm.. Where is the fucking guarantee of not getting molested.”
The actress who is quite well versed with martial arts gave the man a solid kick and he managed to escape. But the entire thing has been captured in the CCTV footage of the building and the police is investigating further on the case.
Rhea’s note to the media reads:
I would like to thank everyone for their support and encouraging words I have tweeted about this unfortunate incident only to highlight the dismal reality and ask all women to be more aware. The police are doing their job and I am confident they will get to the bottom of this matter.
