As Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, the epic love saga, will be completing its 1000 weeks, a special episode featuring the team was shot on popular show Comedy Nights With Kapil. To celebrate this, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Farida Jalal, Mandira Bedi and Puja were seen on the show.
In spite of completing 19 years, the film is still running at Mumbai’s Maratha Mandir and manages to create promising footfalls. It has officially become the longest running film in the history of Indian cinema.
Post the shooting of this special episode, actor Anupam Kher who played a key role in the 90s film tweeted, “Shot a Roller Coaster, Hilarious, Emotional & Nostalgic episode of @CNWKOfficial.:) #ThousandweeksofDDLJ.”
Also due to the sad demise of Amrish Puri and Yash Chopra both of whom were dearly attached to the film, Kher mentioned, “All of us Missed Yash ji & Amrish Puri ji very badly during the shoot of @CNWKOfficial. #ThousandweeksofDDLJ .”
