He is timeless because of this.

Ramayana: Plot & Cast

RAMAYANA: PART 1, a sweeping, two-part cinematic extravaganza inspired by one of the most lasting epics in history, is the creation of visionary producer and director Namit Malhotra. The three realms have been ruled by the Trinity Gods since the beginning of time: Shiva, who transforms, Vishnu, who guards, and Brahma, who creates. The Trinity god Vishnu comes to earth in an incarnation to restore harmony as the worlds of heaven and earth are on the verge of anarchy. Vishnu is resurrected this time as RAMA (Ranbir Kapoor), a human prince meant to restore harmony. The most powerful, intelligent, unbeatable, and immortal demon king, RAVANA (Yash), who has been blessed by the Trinity and is motivated by pride and a desire for vengeance strong enough to destroy the universe, stands in opposition to him.

Rama is the idol of Dharma (responsibility above all) and the most cherished crown prince of Ayodhya, the greatest human dynasty of all time, but he is unaware of his true role as the sole opponent destined to confront Ravana in a disastrous cosmic scheme. Along with his devoted brother Lakshman (Ravi Dubey) and beloved wife Sita (Sai Pallavi), among others, Rama strives to live a life of quiet honor until a turn of events sends him into exile and toward an impending confrontation with Ravana, a confrontation so catastrophic that it will determine the fate of gods and mortals.

Ramayana is one of the most ambitious films in Indian movie history, starring some of the biggest personalities in world entertainment as figures who have inspired storytelling for decades.

The film also stars India’s top actors, including Sai Pallavi (Sita), Sunny Deol (Monkey God Hanuman), and Ravi Dubey (Lakshamana).

Oscar®-winning composers Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman composed the soundtrack for Ramayana, which was produced by innovative filmmaker Namit Malhotra, directed by one of India’s most successful and acclaimed filmmakers, Nitesh Tiwari, and written by playwright Shridhar Raghavan.

Hollywood’s top stunt directors, Terry Notary and Guy Norris, handle the action, while Ravi Bansal and Ramsey Avery oversee production design, which reimagines ancient India on a scale never seen before.
