Priyanka’s first Marathi production venture was Ventilator. It was directed by Rajesh Mapuskar and starred Ashutosh Gowariker, Jitendra Joshi, Sulabha Arya and Sukanya Kulkarni Mone. Ventilator won three honours at the 64th National Film Awards.
The movie is now all set for its Gujarati remake. According to report in Zee News a statement read, “Finally, I have been cast in a film in my mother tongue Gujarati. I hope I will live up to it.”
The Gujarati remake will be co-produced by filmmaker Lawrence D’Souza and Irada Entertainment. The film tells the story of a joint family whose eldest and the most respected person goes into a coma few days before the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

Ventilator was originally directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, he commented on the same, “It will be exciting to see Ventilator set in another culture. My biggest excitement is Jaggu dada playing Ashutosh Gowariker’s character. I’m happy to have him on board,”
While the producer of the film, Falguni Patel, said, “Under our banner Irada Entertainment we are extremely excited and proud to make ‘Ventilator‘ in Gujarati. We are adapting the film as per the nuances of Gujarati culture and really looking forward to Gujarati Bhidu Jackie Shroff,”
