Janhvi Kapoor is being lauded for her performance in her latest Netflix release, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. But looks like the revered Indian Air Force (IAF) is not very happy with the way Karan Johar and Dharma Productions have shaped up the film. Here’s what has happened.

In a letter written to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Netflix, the Indian Air Force has made their displeasure loud and clear. The IAF has said that while Karan Johar had claimed to represent the IAF in true light, there is a lot of unnecessary negative portrayal of IAF officers.

The letter that has been sent by the IAF in context to the Janhvi Kapoor starrer reads, “As per initial understanding, M/s Dharma Productions had agreed to represent Indian Air Force (IAF) with authenticity and make all efforts to ensure that the film helps to inspire the next generation of IAF Officers. The trailer of the movie has been released recently on the OTT platform.
