Refusing to apologize to Kangana Ranaut, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Sunday used a cuss word while expressing his anger towards the actress. Following the incident, celebs like Dia Mirza and Ranvir Shorey came out in support of Kangana and demanded an apology to the actress.

Dia Mirza took to Twitter and condemned Sanjay Raut for using cuss word while criticising Kangana. She said, “Strongly condemn the word ‘haramkhor’ used by @rautsanjay61 . Sir you have every right to express your displeasure for what Kangana has said but you must apologise for using such language.”

In another tweet, she also expressed her displeasure about the trend of abusing women on social media and otherwise. She wrote, “The last few months have seen an unprecedented rise in name-calling and personal abuse. It is something that undermines every effort made to build a safe/equal society for women. Unfortunately, many women are also perpetuating this culture. This must stop. Let’s stand together!”
