Sushant Singh Rajput passed away in June. His alleged suicide sent a shock wave across the entire country. Father KK Singh along with family members and the fans have been seeking justice for the late actor. As today marks the 1 year anniversary of his film Chhichhore, we thought of bringing a smile to all your faces.
Chhichhore starred SSR along with Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, Tahir Raj Bhasin, amongst others. The comedy-drama was directed by Nitesh Tiwari and enjoyed a glorious box office run. Koimoi got into an exclusive interaction with the cast members and it was truly a gala time.
We began playing the Bad Jokes Challenge and the clash of the teams was indeed a sight to behold. Sushant Singh Rajput got into a fun banter with Varun Sharma amid the segment. Another thing to cherish was his friendship with Shraddha Kapoor which was so evident.
We’re sure that the cast along with Nitesh Tiwari had a fun time on set. It was quite visible that the bond between each member of the team was well-knit. Furthermore, with newcomers like Tushar Pandey and Naveen Polishetty, it was inspiring how all of them promoted the film together – something that doesn’t happen very often in Bollywood.
We also asked the team about the comparisons with 3 Idiots even before the release. To this, Tushar Pandey had said, “I think very importantly, it is very clear that the movie is way beyond the trailer and the reactions that people are giving to it. As Nitesh Sir has told before, ‘The narrative of Chhichhore is so different that maybe it’s the first time that something like this is being attempted’. The comparisons are coming in because the theme revolves around college life and a very good example of it is the DNA of a human being which varies from person to person. Similarly, comparisons will come because there are iconic movies like 3 idiots but when people will see the film, they will realize how different, and innovative, and new it is.”
Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor mentioned that they completely agree with Tushar’s statement and it was enough to answer the comparisons.

We hope Sushant Singh Rajput is in peace wherever he is. He’s created a void that can never be filled.
